I'm LOVING Summertime Designs...
In case you haven't noticed... I change my Blog background quite often. I LOVE being creative and this is just one of the many ways I can do it!! I found a website for digital scrapbooking that's absolutely FREE (for personal use that is). I'm not much into scrapbooking yet, but I've found that a lot of the free blog backgrounds you find on many different websites, use Summertime Designs by Summer Driggs. I thought I would try my hand at making my own personalized backgrounds and headers and I think this one turned out quite nicely. I used the scrapbook design called "Happy Mother's Day". It's found on Summer's website along with a TON of other cute stuff. Click HERE to be directed to her website.
I've also found a program that's comparable to Photoshop but without the price tag. It too is absolutely FREE!!! It's called GIMP. It allows you to edit photos, create cool textures and layer elements without the annoying white background. Click HERE for a free download and start having FUN. Here's an example of what you can do...

I Have An Oceanic Soul...
... according to a Facebook application that is. I though it was very interesting... and to be honest, I found it to be quite true as well!
You have come out with the Oceanic soul type. This would describe you as a person who is generally happy inside with an array of surfacing moods that tend to affect the people around you more than you would like. You are very busy dealing with things that seem like they would make no sense to the people in your life. You long for communion emotionally with someone but can't seem to find anyone who fits the bill. It is exceedingly important for an Oceanic soul to realize they are part of something by nature that is so vast, so incredible, so infinitely changing that they do not need to 'connect' the way they have learned to think that they do. All they really need to do is take notice of the beauty they are a real bonafide part of and participate fully. It is by exerting will in this small behavioral way that will bring them into a light that is very attractive to the right kind of people for them. Ironically, once an Oceanic realizes what they are a part of and starts to really willfully participate, they no longer feel such a need for connection.. cest la vie.. so get busy Oceanic soul! You have a lifetime of tides to ebb and flow through, and a whole world of beauty to be a part of..

Anyone out there want a custom signature?
I found an awesome site. It's www.mylivesignature.com. Very cool site and it's FREE... my favorite word (these days). You can use their fonts or you can use your actual signature by scanning it in or creating it right online. Awesome! I've been wanting to figure this out for some time and now I finally did. Yeah for me!! Anywho, just thought I'd pass this info along. Have fun with it!!! :o)

Sad News!
The Hasson Family blog... although not updated on a very regular basis, will be put on hold for a while. I just don't have the heart to continue... and I don't know what to write. Lynn and I are officially separated and I don't know what the future holds for our family. Loves to you all. I'll update when I can.

He Lives!!
I've just been reading some blogs by a few of my loved ones... and feeling very grateful for the people that I have in my life. I love my family... I love my friends. I want ALL who read this to know that "YOU" are an important part of my life... "YOU" matter to me... and I thank my Heavenly Father for each one of you!I know someone who made a comment online about how convenient it was that we couldn't ask God if he/she supported or agreed with certain issues that we face today in society. This person had previously served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and it made me sad to read how this friend of mine referred to God as if He could possibly be a she... and that we had no way of communicating with Him. I felt that I NEEDED to make a comment regarding this statement (very respectfully, of course) to remind them that we DO have a means of communicating with God... and did they forget about prayer? Sometimes... I must admit that I don't have the confidence that I wish I had as far as making "statements" or "comments" or having an "opinion" about things, because I'm afraid of how people might react. As I debated, at first, with whether or not I should make a comment... I remembered my patriarchal blessing.
I KNOW that part of my calling here on this earth is to TESTIFY of the existence of our loving HEAVENLY FATHER. To testify that we are His children and that He loves us. I KNOW that He is real. I felt that it was important to tell this friend what I knew to be true, even if it caused some heat between us, and possibly others. It's sad to me when our brothers and sisters forget who they are. We are ALL children of God. I too have lost my way from time to time... but feel very blessed that I've never forgotten who I was or that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and an elder brother Jesus Christ who lived AND died for me. I love Him. He loves me. I'm feeling very grateful for this knowledge. It brings me peace... especially when life gets to be too much to bear. I hope and pray that as you read this... if nothing else, you'll get from this that I have a testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ and in my Heavenly Father. People are imperfect, but the LOVE our Heavenly Father has for His people IS perfect. May we learn to love ourselves AND others as He loves us!
