Random Thoughts....

What a wonderful Thanksgiving I had. The FOOD was extraordinary and the company was even better. MY FAMILY!!! I love my family dearly and I'm so very grateful that they are mine! It was just a small event this year. Melissa & Jeff were with his family and Kenny & Cammie were with some dear friends. Dawn & Gary stayed in Idaho this year and Erik of course is in L.A. so he was missed as well. It was just Mom, Dad, Rachel, Grandma, Lynn & I and the boys. Wonderful day!! Lynn & I also went shopping for the first time on "Black Friday" (I hate that it's called that though) and rather enjoyed it. I know, I know... you're all saying WHAT?!?!? But seriously it was VERY productive and we saved a TON of money. And to top it all off... I'm pretty much DONE with my Christmas shopping this year. YEAH!!! Maybe a few stocking stuffer treats, but other than that... this Holiday Season is for ENJOYING with my sweet family. May we all SHOW our gratitude for all that we have AND for our trials as well... for they help to build us up and make us stronger. I'm grateful for the opportunity I have been given at this time in my life for making positive changes and for personal growth. I pray that I can follow the will of the Father and have enough Courage to become who He wants me to be. Only then can TRUE happiness and PURE JOY be found.

"Trick or Treat... smell my feet...!"

Halloween was so much fun this year. We went "Trick or Treating" with my brother Kenny and his family over in Daybreak. It was such beautiful weather and the kids had a blast. I'll post more pics, but I thought I should at least get SOME up seeing as how it's almost Thanksgiving!! Hope all of you out there had as much fun on Halloween as we did!

Ready for a new lease on life!

As I sit here at the computer, I am feeling very blessed for the many wonderful blessing that I have. I have the two most amazing and beautiful children in the world and a loving and caring family who support me in all that I do. I don't have much time to write right now, but I will hopefully be posting more about my new journey in life as I begin to make some positive (although I'm sure very hard at times) changes in my life. I must head out now, however because our new wards' "Trunk or Treat" starts in an hour and a half and I must get the kids and myself ready. I'll post pics soon. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

I'm LOVING Summertime Designs...

In case you haven't noticed... I change my Blog background quite often. I LOVE being creative and this is just one of the many ways I can do it!! I found a website for digital scrapbooking that's absolutely FREE (for personal use that is). I'm not much into scrapbooking yet, but I've found that a lot of the free blog backgrounds you find on many different websites, use Summertime Designs by Summer Driggs. I thought I would try my hand at making my own personalized backgrounds and headers and I think this one turned out quite nicely. I used the scrapbook design called "Happy Mother's Day". It's found on Summer's website along with a TON of other cute stuff. Click HERE to be directed to her website.

I've also found a program that's comparable to Photoshop but without the price tag. It too is absolutely FREE!!! It's called GIMP. It allows you to edit photos, create cool textures and layer elements without the annoying white background. Click HERE for a free download and start having FUN. Here's an example of what you can do...

I Have An Oceanic Soul...

... according to a Facebook application that is. I though it was very interesting... and to be honest, I found it to be quite true as well!

You have come out with the Oceanic soul type. This would describe you as a person who is generally happy inside with an array of surfacing moods that tend to affect the people around you more than you would like. You are very busy dealing with things that seem like they would make no sense to the people in your life. You long for communion emotionally with someone but can't seem to find anyone who fits the bill. It is exceedingly important for an Oceanic soul to realize they are part of something by nature that is so vast, so incredible, so infinitely changing that they do not need to 'connect' the way they have learned to think that they do. All they really need to do is take notice of the beauty they are a real bonafide part of and participate fully. It is by exerting will in this small behavioral way that will bring them into a light that is very attractive to the right kind of people for them. Ironically, once an Oceanic realizes what they are a part of and starts to really willfully participate, they no longer feel such a need for connection.. cest la vie.. so get busy Oceanic soul! You have a lifetime of tides to ebb and flow through, and a whole world of beauty to be a part of..
